I'm trying to share a printer hosted by machine running win7 and the remote machine is using Xp. My problem started when hp laserjet p2055 was not automatically detected and had to mannualy install universal drivers after the original cd driver for the printer failed to load. we loaded the universal drivers on both machine and managed to connect to the printer. After clicking OK twice on the error boxes the HP LaserJet P2055 UPD PCL 5 Document Properties box comes up with only the advanced tab. Accessing the printer through Printer/Faxes in Control Panel and clicking on properties brings up the properties box which has 6 tabs and none are the advanced tab. Selecting the Printing Preferrences button on this window brings up another window noted as HP LaserJet P2055dn UPD PCL 5 Printing Preferences which does start with the Advanced tab and also includes tabs for Printing Shortcuts, Paper/Quality, Finishing and Services.

I have 4 computer that were connected through one workgroup and it is "WORKGROUP". 2 of them, i cant shared the printer (actually i can see both of the computer through the main computer by 'My network places'). Sir, I have the same problem as R.Kandavel, so I use his message to report my problem.

I have installed MS Windows XP SP3 and MS Office 2003 in my PC. Recently, I purchased HP Deskjet D2560 Printer and it has been installed. The problem is that when ever I open a page in MS Word and tried to print, it shows that the program has encounter an error. The other application like Adobe reader closes automatically when i printer option is selected. If I deselect the HP Printer from the default printer settings in Printers and Faxes, the page setup option works well.
