Problem Summary: win32 virus, cloaker, silly

Hello,

Had a virus problem with old XP installation. Completely formatted the HD (C and D partitions. New installation of XP (SP2, other version than the old one). Virus returns. Avast keeps coming up with WIN32 virusses, trojans (cloaker, silly).

Could this be a Master Boot Record virus?

Thanks for info,

Yours,

Gerard Houben

Problem Summary: world of warcraft

Over the course of a year I've had problems with the game "World of Warcraft. In that time I have added more ram, better graphics card and have done a total re-format about 8-10 times,re-installed the game only to get corrupted files over time. The PC will crash then describes errors as "unable to read file" or "file corrupt" or "fatal exception".The frustration level is starting to mount as I've tried jus about everything except a malware/spyware removal which was listed in tech support as a possible solution to the cause of the corrupt/modified files. Also there seems to be no viruses present.Any insight to this annoying problem would be appreciated.
