Problem Summary: tried system restore ad aware noticed it now all my files vanished....
ad aware picked up a backdoor trojan (can't remember full name of it was on my desktop in notepad but now vanished. something to do with win32.backdoor and dll.exe programs also mentioned. tried to clean said was okay, then google was coming up with www.googlefiii or something random. lot of things not working.
Now can't get to earlier restore point before noticed problem. Did look online and put spyhunter4 on which didn't pick it up and picked up various popupad problems but not the rest, but then asked to register didn't.
